Kashgar structure manuscript

I aim to integrate the aesthetic features of classical Chinese art forms—such as the structure and colour dynamics of long scroll paintings and the spatial-temporal concepts in classical poetry—into the practice of musical composition. My research also explores ethnic music theories, including Chinese Uyghur music and Turkish makam, to develop a unique compositional technique that fuses tradition with modernity. To gain a deeper understanding of the contemporary context of ethnic music, I have visited various towns in the Kashgar region of Xinjiang, China, actively participated in local folk events (such as the Meshrep), and engaged with local folk musicians. Additionally, I have traveled to Turkey and Armenia to immerse myself in their musical and cultural traditions. These experiences have enriched my cultural perspective and interdisciplinary approach, enabling me to infuse my musical creations with distinctive artistic elements and innovate new forms of musical expression.
